If you have the status of temporary protection, you reside in France and want to apply to higher education institutions, you are allowed to apply directly to the institution of your choice.

How to apply to become a student in France?

1. Choose a course

First, define the course and the level of study you wish to apply for:

Licence 1, if you have never done higher education in Ukraine;
Another level according to your higher education studies in Ukraine;

2. Choose an institution

Then, choose the universities where I want to be admitted by checking the online catalogues of Campus France:

3. Read the application procedures

After choosing the university(ies) and the exact titles of the chosen courses, check out their official websites. Go to the sections of the chosen courses to discover the application procedures for Ukrainian students benefiting from temporary protection. If you do not find this information, contact the individuals in charge of the chosen course and/or the International Relations Department to find out how to apply. Specify the chosen course, attach the temporary protection document to your e-mail. If you are a minor, enclose the temporary protection document of the adult accompanying you.

4. Preparing your file

Prepare your file with the following documents:

identity document;
temporary protection;
certificate of completion of secondary education with transcripts and their translation into French;
diplomas and degrees obtained in Ukraine with transcripts and their translation into French;
proof of French language level (often B2, or C1 for certain courses);
resume and cover letter;
You can also prepare letters of recommendation or any other document to increase your chances of being admitted.
